Season 5 finale of Game of Thrones has been a nightmare for Jon Snow’s fans. He was brutally taken down in Julius Caesar style. Despite these crystal clear pronouncements of Snow’s indubitable demise, fans haven’t been able to stop themselves from speculating about how the character might still make a comeback.
Recently, actor Kit Harington was spotted near the shooting location of the HBO series and left with a question that could Jon come back in Season 6?
Well, according to HBO executive Michael Lombardino who spoke at the Television Critics Association’s summer press tour Thursday (July 30) is NO.
He told the audience that, “Dead is dead. He is dead, Yes, everything I’ve seen, heard and read, Jon Snow is indeed dead. But the show must go on… for at least three more seasons.”
But before you get too worked up about this statement, there are STILL few loophole lurking in the seemingly ironclad statement he just made. These two tweeters, for instance, think that the question shouldn’t have been whether Jon Snow is currently dead but whether he will remain dead throughout the forthcoming season.
The question isn’t whether Jon Snow is dead. It’s whether Jon Snow is going to STAY dead. It is #GameofThrones; some dead can be revived.

Jon Snow is dead. It doesn’t mean he’ll stay that way, however. pic.twitter.com/8lb4eBvRBa

Why do journalist keep asking if “Jon Snow is dead?” That’s the wrong question. “Is Kit returning next season?” is the better question.

After all, we’ve still got the Red Witch lurking around Castle Black now, and the White Walker transformation theory is still left intact by this news. So, even though the HBO boss has told that dead is dead there is still some hope left.
