  • Kaun Mera (Unplugged)

The song was performed by Papon in the ‘MTV Unplugged Season 4’. The soothing voice of Papon fits perfectly in this song and the super loving lyrics sets the mood perfectly.

  • Dil Chaspiya

The song from the Rajnikant movie called ‘Kochadaiiyaan- the Legend’ is composed by A.R. Rahman and sung by Arijit Singh and Jonita Gandhi. It is one of the most underrated songs.

  • Saathi Mere

Even though this song wasn’t a part of the movie, it is from the movie ‘Tanu Weds Manu Returns’. It has beautiful lyrics, is sung by Sonu Nigam, composed by Krsna Solo, and written by Raj Shekhar. It is one of the best songs by Sonu Nigam.

  • Udi (Unplugged)

One of the best song sung by Sunidhi Chauhan, this one was performed by her in the ‘MTV Unplugged Season 2’. Sunidhi is the perfect voice for this song especially because of her power-pack performances.

This song is from the movie ‘Piku’. It co-written, composed, and sung by Anupam Roy and is also sung by him. The soothing music and the beautiful lyrics will make you fall in love with this song.

  • Teri Aankho Se

This song is sung by Sanam Puri and Jonita Gandhi. It is one of the most underrated songs. The voices and composition is fresh and unconventional.

  • Kahaan Hoon Main

It is a wonderful song from the movie ‘Highway’. It is composed by the legend A.R. Rahman and is sung by Jonita Gandhi. Her soulful voice and the peaceful music is enough to bring tears in the listener’s eyes.

  • Inkaar Theme

The song from one of the underrated movie ‘Inkaar’ is sung by Shahid Maliya and Papon, composed by Shamir Tandon and written by Sameer Anjaan. This song has the most wonderful lyrics ever. It is my personal favourite one. Just close your eyes and listen to this. This one is just perfect!

A song from the movie ‘Happy Ending’ is composed by the gujju Music Director duo Sachin-Jigar. Sung by Rekha Bhardwaj, Jigar Saraiya, Priya Andrews, this song has taken the Indian Music Industry to a whole new level. The music and the voices are fresh and unconventional.

  • Shukr Tera

This is a song from the movie ‘Samrat and Co.’, and is sung by Chinmayi Sripada and Arijit Singh. It is composed by Mithoon. It has this serene feeling which will make anyone miss the boyfriends/girlfriends, no matter if they have any or not. 😛

  • Beparwah

Beparwah is one of the best songs by Arijit Singh from the movie ‘Shahid’. It is composed by Karan Kulkarni and penned by Shelle. The soulful lyrics and the soothing music make it just more perfect. It is one of the most underrated songs from this list.

  • Aaj Jaane Ki Zidd Na Karo (Unplugged)

This song was mesmerizingly performed by the legend A.R. Rahman in the ‘MTV Unplugged Season 2’. It is a magnificent song, with some brilliant lyrics and will take you to a whole different world.

Performed by Mithoon in the ‘MTV Unplugged Season 4’, this song wins the heart of everyone who listens to this. The lyrics, the music, the vocals, everything is just beyond perfect.

  • Ye Nayan (Midnight Mix)

A wonderful cover created by the singer ‘Bhavya Pandit’, comprises of the retro song ‘Ye Nayan Darre Darre’ and ‘Kahin To’ from the movie Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na. This song is unconventional and calming.

All these song are my personal favourites and according to me each and every of these have just pushed the limits of the Indian Music Industry. It is getting better and better, especially with the mind-blowing and budding composers like Amit Trivedi, Sachin-Jigar, Mithoon and singers like Arijit Singh, Jonita Gandhi, Bhavya Pandit, Chinmayi Sripada, Anupam Roy, Sanam Puri and all the upcoming artists have redefined the meaning of music.
